Announcing New Video Platform Plugin for Adobe Experience Manager

[ Edited ]

This article provides information about our new Ooyala Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) plugin that integrates Backlot with Adobe’s digital asset management platform solution for building websites, mobile apps and forms.

What benefit is this plugin to you the customer?

For customers who use both Ooyala Video Platform and Adobe Experience Manager, this plugin will make it easier for them to manage and publish video on their websites or mobile apps. With the AEM plugin, customers are able to quickly find videos and playlists from Backlot and place them on web pages, and to configure the video component with players and player sizes. The plugin supports AEM 6.2 and 6.3.

Key features include the ability to:

  • Register using Backlot API keys and automatically create custom metadata with each asset upload

  • Upload video into Backlot asset library directly from the plugin

  • Insert Ooyala video component into any page

  • Browse and search Backlot asset library while editing a page

  • Support for both individual video assets and playlist

  • Select a video player configuration

  • Preview and play video assets on preview pages

Where can I get the AME plugin?
