We are pleased to introduce a new debugging tool that will greatly accelerate resolution of video playback issues.
To access this great new tool, simply browse over to the Ooyala documentation. Here you will find instructions for downloading the Chrome plugin, accessing the debugging service, and creating Support tickets.
This debugging tool is based on a Chrome browser plug-in, so you will need to have Chrome installed on the machine you plan to use for troubleshooting playback issues. You’ll also need access to Backlot, so you can note the Content ID and Player ID of the problematic video: you’ll enter this into a debugging page that the tool will analyze.
Using this tool, you’ll be able to create Support requests that provide our engineers the information that will help them rapidly diagnose and fix most playback problems.
