How to add Closed caption in a chromeless player?

Symptoms

With the V3 player, in backlot, under publish tab, under player selection, you will have the checkbox ‘chromeless’ and by checking it you will setup by default a chromeless player with that id.

Diagnosis

First you have to add closed caption to the asset. Create a CC file and save as either .dfxp or .xml format and then add it to the asset through backlot or API. The below link will provide the guideliness.

Supported languages for Closed captions:

Solution

Login to the backlot account and move to Publish tab.

Under player branding, select the player in which the chromeless player is to be integrated. There is an option called Closed Captions Default Language.

Select the required language for the closed caption. Language can also be selected using Javascript API using setClosedCaptionsLanguage command.

Below link will provide information regarding Javascript API for Closed Captions
