VisualOn libraries in the Android SDK will no longer be supported from August 2016. However, Hook player will not be impacted and continue to function as it does today. Similar with our SDKs, we strongly encourage our customers to transition to V4 by Aug 1 to continuously receive updates and enhancements. From Aug 1 onwards, Hook player will no longer receive updates as we continue to move customers to V4. It will still remain functional, however issues will not be treated with the same level of priority and will no longer receive product enhancements.

Having said that, we would like to encourage customers to transition their mobile web to Player V4 as Player V4 allows them to support a mobile-HTML5 experience, with HLS playback across Android devices. This improves user experience as well as the user is no longer required to download a separate application on mobile web. Player V4 also support MPEG-DASH on Android.
