Understanding DVR Seek Back Functionality

by Ooyalan on ‎12-12-2016 09:54 AM (1,067 Views)

Q. How far can viewers seek back the live streaming?
A. It depends on how you configure it. For example, if the duration of the streaming is 2 hours long, you can set it to 2-3 hours to make sure that viewers can watch the entire streaming. You can also set it to 1 hour to limit the viewership.

Q. What happens when I seek back the live streaming and the actual event finishes while I'm still watching the streaming to catch up?
A. Playback will stop when the actual live event ends

Q. Can a viewer watch this streaming even after the event is over?
A. Yes as long as DVR is not deleted or cleared.

[Note] If you want to implement a DVR functionality in your live stream, you need to have our "Live Ops Repackaging and Transcoding." Please contact our Sales Engineer, Account Manager, or Technical support for details.
