Is Ooyala V4 player supports for google IMA ads in Tizen platform

I am using Ooyala V4 player for building new apps using HTML and React JS for Samsung Smarttv.

I configure google IMA ads in my backlot. When I am runing my project in browser ads are playing. Deployed same code Tizen IDE 2.3v and runing in Samsung Smart Tv 2016 Model, that time ads are not playing. Does Ooyala player supports Google IMA ads in samsung Smart Tv ?

I added below parameters values in Player initialization.
"google-ima-ads-manager": {
showInAdControlBar: true
}

Can you please let me know what I am missing.

Thanks.

Hi Vinod,

Sorry for the long reply, I was just confirming the functionality on Samsung Smart TV so i could give you more accurate information. We currently do not have a SDK for Samsung Smart TV, so this is actually not supported. I am sorry for the incoveniences we may cause.

Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Best regards,

Paulo Perez

Re: Is Ooyala V4 player supports for google IMA ads in Tizen platform

Hello vinodkumar,

Thank you for contacting us, my name is Paulo and I will be helping you.

How are you testing the player within the SmartTV? Is this in a web browser or an application? I would suggest taking a look at the following articles for further information on implementation and support and compatibility:

Integrating Google IMA Ads

http://help.ooyala.com/video-platform/concepts/pbv4_ads_dev_google_ima.html

Support and Compatibility

https://developers.google.com/interactive-media-ads/docs/sdks/html5/compatibility

Please let me know if this helps.

Kind regards,

Re: Is Ooyala V4 player supports for google IMA ads in Tizen platform

Hi Paulo,

Thanks for replaying.

I developed an application (with React JS, HTML and CSS) and runing in Samsung smart tv(Model 2016 supports Tizen development).
I went through above link and integrated Google IMA configuration. I am able to see Google IMA ads in browser but still not in Samsung Smart tv (In other platform android and iOS ads are playing).

In Samsung network logs , I am getting below error related to google Ima3.js
GET file://imasdk.googleapis.com/js/sdkloader/ima3.js net::ERR_FILE_NOT_FOUND.
In forums I found that google IMA does not support for Smart Tv platforms.
Please refer below link.

2) https://groups.google.com/forum/#!msg/ima-sdk/oS1R5e9UUzs/psEaZHl9AAAJ

I am using bleow Ooyala player URL for playing videos.

2) https://player.ooyala.com/static/v4/stable/4.17.8/video-plugin/main_html5.min.js
3) https://player.ooyala.com/static/v4/stable/4.17.8/video-plugin/osmf_flash.min.js
4) https://player.ooyala.com/static/v4/stable/4.17.8/video-plugin/bit_wrapper.min.js
5) https://player.ooyala.com/static/v4/stable/4.17.8/skin-plugin/html5-skin.min.js
6) https://player.ooyala.com/static/v4/stable/4.17.8/ad-plugin/google_ima.min.js
7) https://player.ooyala.com/static/v4/stable/4.17.8/skin-plugin/html5-skin.min.css

Can you please clarify me that, whether Ooyala player supports Google IMA ads for Smasung Smart Tv or not?.
If so, can you please share me some sample code that will make my work easy.

Thanks,
Vinod Kumar
