Hello! Ooyala Newsletter - week 41
Yesterday we released a new version on the manager and thisnewsletter introduces you to what's new and to the bug fixes that have been done. We are happy to announce that we have now released the first versions of our Microsoft Silverlight and HTML5 plugins along with a lot of smaller improvements to the platform.
Support for Silverlight and HTML5 Do you have a Microsoft Silverlight or HTML5 video player? Congratulations, in that case! With this release, we introduce the first version of our Silverlight and HTML5 plugins. This means that it just got a lot easier to integrate any Microsoft Silverlight or HTML5 player with your Monetizer account. The first versions of these plugins support standard pre-, mid- and postrolls and companion banners.
We now have plugins for Flash, Silverlight and HTML5, enabling you to easily get started and run campaigns over all your video players.
Account Overview walk-through Did you miss the webinars on how to best work with the Account Overview? If that is the case, you'll be glad to know that we have put up a walk-through covering this on our website. In short, the Account Overview helps you manage your different sites and content partners. It makes it possible for you to track performance, pull reports and forecast on these entities.
User Guide in the Support Area We've added a Manager user guide to the Support Area! This is a living document that will be extended as we introduce new features. We hope that this will help you on your quest to monetize your videos.
Inactive campaigns now have new ads enabled by default, meaning you only need to activate the campaign when going live. Vice-versa, new ads for active campaigns are now disabled by default, meaning you may add new ads to campaigns without them going live instantly.
Previously only Campaigns lagging behind were marked with warnings, but not their lagging goals. This made it difficult to understand which goal was under-performing. Now we have extended that indicator to mark the goal that is not performing. It will clearly be a more visual way of troubleshooting a goal.
Sorting campaigns on the new Account overview page have been improved, making it possible to sort on top campaign delivery stats for a site or content partner.
VAST ads now support tracking data for Sites and Content partners. It's the final piece of the puzzle for monitoring ads from remote locations.
Improved performance when listing goals in the user interface.
Data on which site a campaign has been running on is now available in all campaign reports.
